2012-13: GWMWater experienced one algae bloom during the reporting period at Green Lake. This water storage is for recreational use only. The local water manager managed the incident with GWMWater acting as the coordinator.

2014-15: GWMWater experienced algal blooms at three Recreation Reservoirs during the reporting period, including Green Lake, Lake Lonsdale, and Lake Toolondo. The number of algal
bloom incidents was lower than previous years due to the cooler summer conditions.
Warning signs were placed at each location when algal blooms occurred. GWMWater is
the local manager for these storages and handled the incident through the appropriate
channels .
