2013-14: GWMWater experienced algal blooms at a number of Recreation Reservoirs during the reporting period, including Toolondo, Taylors Lake and Lake Lonsdale. These storages are what could be described as being close to the floodplain and the effects of nutrient inflows. GWMWater is the local manager for these storages and handled the incident through the appropriate channels. At 30 June 2014, Lake Lonsdaleās bloom was still in progress and is expected to dissipate over the winter months.
