2014-15: GWMWater did experience a summer bloom of the non-toxigenic blue-green algal species Cyanocatena in the Quambatook raw water storage this year. The storage was taken off-line, and water was taken directly from the Normanville pipeline until the bloom had subsided.

A new water treatment plant was commissioned just after the bloom.
